I love a good wedding...

I am Anthea Lawrence and among other things I am a wedding celebrant based in beautiful Central Otago, and the creator of Petite Pop-up Weddings.

It may sound cliché, but I adore weddings. The joy that emanates from a couple in love, when surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, is intoxicating. One can’t help but smile and feel that anything is possible when immersed in such a loving ambience.

I want to help people actualise the vision they have possibly had for many years about what their wedding should be for them. I don’t just want to marry people, I want to share and inspire the beauty of love between two people.  The wedding day is completely the agenda of the couple I just help to facilitate the story that they want to have told.
